This is something which most of the people are looking for through out the internet. So I thought of creating this post for you guys. So want to know the answer? Scroll down! . . . . . . . YOU CAN'T! Sorry! Did I get you excited for a second? You had to have known that was coming. I woke up today started scrolling Instagram and came across a so called "special" workout that burns belly fat in an week. And trust me you would hate me saying this but these types of workouts are really bullshit. If you haven’t heard the term spot reduction before, it is probably something you have wished for or heard someone wish for. Spot reduction is the effort to eliminate fat from one individual area. Most requests I get are for the stomach, “love handles,” thighs. When people think of spot reduction, their theory is that if they are to exercise a set of muscles/a specific area, fat will be lost in that area. For example - “I need to do more abs exercises to lose fat from my stomach.” But that’s not the way it works. When your body burns fat it doesn’t burn it nearest to the muscles being worked, it burns it from the entire body. I’m not saying working individual muscle groups isn’t important, I'm saying spot reducing fat from that area is not going to happen. So if you want to lose fat from a specific area, you’ll have to lose fat overall. My advice? 🍱 Eat in a slight caloric deficit for a given amount of time (eat less than you burn). 🍗 Eat enough protein. 🏋🏻 Prioritize strength training & progressive overload (the goal is fat loss, not just weight loss, so only cardio is not enough) 🛌 Get a good amount of sleep. (Min 7-8hours) - Just because it’s simple doesn’t mean it’s easy-but there are steps you can take. And you can do it.
